Simple and transparent consignment service
Dear clients,
At Jab’s Sports, we are pleased to offer you a consignment sales service, designed to allow you to sell your items with ease and transparency. Here is how this service works:
1. Price display
You will see the prices of your items displayed on our site with taxes included. However, rest assured that sales taxes are not part of your commission. These are returned to the government in accordance with tax obligations.
2. Consignment fees (10%)
On the sale of an item for $115 (taxes included), here is how the calculation breaks down:
- Government taxes (14.975%) ($14.98) are returned to the authorities.
- On the remaining amount before taxes ($100.02), our 10% consignment commission is applied, or $10. So, $10 is deducted.
- You receive $90.02.
3. Pricing for high value items
For items valued between $0 and $2499.99, the consignment fee is 10%. For items valued over $2500, the consignment fee is 1.5% of the excess. On the sale of an item for $3,000 (taxes included), here is how the calculation breaks down:
- Government taxes (14.975%) ($449.25) are returned to the authorities.
- On the remaining amount before taxes ($2550.75), our consignment commission is 10% on $2499.99 ($249.99). To this we add 1.5% of the excess over $50.76 ($0.76). So, $250.75 is deducted.
- You receive $2300.
